About This Spot

Stepping into Oriental Pavilion, you’re greeted by an inviting blend of tradition and quiet elegance, a space where the rhythm of bustling banquets meets the gentle clinking of dim sum steamers. Nestled within the heart of PJ33’s podium, this Cantonese restaurant gracefully balances the celebratory energy of a wedding venue with the intimate comfort of a neighborhood favorite. The pace here is unhurried, allowing guests to savor not just the food but the human moments shared around the table.

The atmosphere hums softly with warm conversations and attentive service, creating a feeling of belonging whether you’re gathering for a family brunch or a special occasion that calls for a grand feast. There’s a rhythm in how dishes arrive — each plate a quiet invitation to explore textures and flavors that speak to generations of culinary care. From the delicate translucence of crystal dumplings to the satisfying crisp of a roast pork skin, the menu is experienced rather than just eaten, each bite a small celebration of comfort and craftsmanship.

At Oriental Pavilion, the kitchen’s offerings bloom with nuances—from light, fragrant bites that open a meal to heartier creations that anchor it—with all of them served by a team that seems genuinely tuned to the needs of their guests. This thoughtful attentiveness, paired with the generous portions and subtle layering of flavors, invites you to linger over conversations, laughter, and shared plates.

Families, longtime diners, and newcomers alike find a familiar warmth here, forged not just by the cuisine but by the genuine connections formed in the space—the kind that make Oriental Pavilion more than a restaurant, but a gathering place where memories quietly take root.

Quite often have meal at this restaurant. They serve both dim sum and made to order food. Their service are top notch and generally their food are good. Some of our definitely ordered dish are hokkien mee, roast pork and char siew. Their hokkien mee is excellent. Good wok hei and added some premium ingredients like pork belly which are nice touch to it. Their charsiew is good too. Perfect balance of fat and meat and charred nicely with sweet honey taste. Roast pork are savoury and the skin are having a nice crisp. Their dim sum selection are aplenty and taste good with fresh and better ingredient used. Overall food are good. Price are acceptable for such restaurant. Recommended and repeatable.

One of the famous dimsum place within the community in PJ! The portion I find it quite generous and huge enough for a basket ! Table 8 of us damage about RM600+ for this full of table ! The Siow Yok is super good, crispy and the fats / lean meat just right! Dipped w mustard is a plus! Scallop dumpling is another highlight! Hargaw siewmai is good to have. Fried carrot cake yummy as wells My sister love the salted egg bun.. Dimsum ranging frm RM12- RM18.. is cheaper compared to the hotel. For celebration gathering , definitely a must go place !

Best dinner we had in KL, everything was yummy. I'm not a shao rou person but this shao rou was so good. The skin was so crispy and the balance of the fat and meat ratio was just nice. The peking duck was good as well! Will definitely go again, highly recommend to family who are looking for good dinner places!

Really love the dim sum here! I also like how proactive and considerate is the staffs serving, always ready for any assistance for us The glutinous rice served is very tasty It's just the chicken feet is not soft enough, but overall everything is fine about the food and service, and I would definitely visit a second time

After Visiting 8 Chinese Restaurants… This was our pick! After visiting 8 Chinese restaurants across the Klang Valley in search of the perfect spot to celebrate my mom’s birthday, we finally decided to host here — and we’re so glad we did. Ample of parking space on Sunday evening. You can park at Jaya 33 shopping mall or the Plaza 33 next door. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt just right for a family celebration: warm, elegant, and welcoming. The service was top-notch throughout the evening, and we were truly impressed by the attention to detail. The restaurant features a spacious hall with a stage and allow us to deco for the event and even a karaoke system, which added fun and entertainment to the evening A big plus: We especially appreciated their flexibility in partitioning a private space for our group, giving us more comfort and intimacy for the celebration. Accommodating staffs and good service are plus points too. Special thanks to Ms. Elaine, who was incredibly helpful and accommodating from the start. The staffs are locals who can communicate and understand the guests. The entire service team who made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was a highlight — beautifully presented and full of authentic flavour. We especially enjoyed the [insert standout dishes, e.g., Peking duck, steamed 龙吨鱼 (Loong Dun Fish), prawns, etc.], though honestly, every dish we ordered was delicious. Portions were generous. They even surprised my mom with a birthday 寿包 (longevity buns), which really made her feel celebrated. It’s little gestures like these that make a big difference. This is one of the "standout“ food of the evening — soft, warm, and filled with a complete salted egg yolk inside. It was both symbolic and delicious, a lovely touch for a birthday celebration that everyone appreciated. While the overall experience was excellent, there was one small letdown. We were informed beforehand that there was no corkage charge for bringing our own red wine, which we appreciated. However, we weren’t told that there would be a RM100 fee for bringing our own soda drinks. While we understand if there’s a policy, a clearer explanation in advance would have helped us plan better and avoid any surprise charges. That said, the evening overall was a great success. My mom was happy, the family had a wonderful time, and we left with full stomachs and warm hearts. Thank you again to Ms. Elaine and all the staff for helping us create such a lovely memory.

Ordered the Extra Value Set C lunch set for 8 pax, and indeed we felt like it was extra value. Good to come by for auspicious event such as son get straight A for exam. The roast chicken shunde style arrived in 2 courses (1: chicken skin wrapped with popiah skin, 2: stir fried chicken in dark sauce). Steamed patin with black bean was delightful, fish was fresh like just died, flayed open easy to peel meat off. Charcoal roasted pork belly was crispy and we could not get enough. Tiger prawn with special sauce was a little salty, didn’t taste like anything too special, but prawn was fresh. Braised crab meat and fish maw bisque is like normal knock off shark fin soup, all taste same, no comment. Stir fried nai pak with black fungus had so much black fungus - not really worth the money if u ask me, but I may just be a nai pak hater. Braised chicken with Chinese wine in clay pot was very hearty and made me feel warm remind me of mother’s cooking, although chicken didn’t have much lean meat. Braised assorted vegetables with preserved bean curd was nothing special. For dessert we had the tangyuan, ginger was very spicy, 1 big tangyuan filled with dark sesame paste. Wonderful lunch although wife ordered all old people food. We came on a Friday afternoon, we had 3 tables and we were able to request for the private room with booking made 3 days prior. Staff kept giving me hot tea even though I requested cold - but not a big issue. Convenient location with easy parking at valet area. Edit: came back a second time for dimsum brunch, the taste did not disappoint
